What We Make
At a bèstia (abestia) we make skincare the way it was made for most of human history, with real fats.
Long before modern skincare relied on synthetic fragrance, seed oils, and long ingredient lists, soap and balm were made from simple animal fats that supported the skin naturally.
Tallow (rendered beef fat) happens to be remarkably compatible with human skin.
So, we built our brand around it.
Our formulas are intentionally simple:
Few ingredients.
Carefully sourced fats.
Nothing unnecessary.
Why Tallow
Beef tallow skincare works differently from most modern products.
Tallow contains fatty acids and fat-soluble vitamins that help support the skin barrier and maintain moisture.
Because its lipid structure closely resembles that of human skin, tallow absorbs easily and helps replenish what the skin naturally needs.

All a bèstia tallow soaps and balms are hand-made in small batches at our personal facility in Admaston, Ontario, Canada.
This allows careful control over ingredients, curing time, and consistency, the way traditional soap was always made.
